- Yield: 6 servings 1x
Ingredients
1 ½ lbs. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
1 – 15.25 oz. can of sweet corn
1 jar Salsa De Leon – Texas Mild
1 – 15 oz. can of black beans, rinsed
2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
1 can of butter biscuits
¼ teaspoon of black pepper.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large skillet cook ground beef 8-10 minutes or until no longer pink. Season as preferred. Crumble beef and drain.
Add taco seasoning, corn, ½ jar Salsa De Leon and black beans. Combine well and cook for 5 minutes.
Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
Sprinkle cheese over mixture.
Separate each biscuit into 2 layers (so they’re not too thick when they bake).
Place biscuits over the cheese and sprinkle with pepper.
Bake, uncovered for 15 minutes, or until biscuits are fully cooked and golden brown.
